About Englishtown Homes For Sale

Englishtown is a small town in Monmouth County which is rich in history. During the Battle of Monmouth General Washington held meetings in the dining room of the Village Inn. The Village Inn is still open for business as a restaurant located in the Historical Section of Englishtown.

The 2010 Census showed almost 2,000 people lived in Englishtown.

Schools

Students from homes in Englishtown share a combined school district with Manalapan. In fact, over 90% of the students are from Manalapan. When children enter grades kindergarten through eighth they will attend Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools.

When students from homes in Englishtown enter high school they will attend the Freehold Regional High School District. The Freehold Regional High School District has six schools.  Children usually attend the high school in their town, and most children from Englishtown will attend Manalapan High School.

Each high school has a specialized Learning Center. These programs are for students who are talented and highly motivated.  Any student can apply through a competitive admission process. Programs at the schools include Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, Humanities and more.

SAT scores at all of the high schools consistently exceed state and national averages. More than 87 percent of the district’s students pursue higher education.

Students entering high school are also eligible to enroll in the Monmouth County Vocational School District. s. There are also five magnet schools.  These schools are full time high schools and offer in depth courses in subject matter such as biotechnology, communication, high technology, health and science and marine sciences. Part time courses are also available in various medical fields and Carpentry – among others.
