New Monmouth is a section of Middletown in New Jersey located in Monmouth County. Middletown is the most populous town in the state. Due to its affluence, low crime rates, highly rated public school system, and a central location for commuters, Middletown was ranked in 2006, 2008, and 2010, and 2014 Top 100 in CNNMoney.com’s Best Places to Live. There are well over 60,000 people living in Middletown.

Most of New Monmouth is a suburban area, with single family homes scattered throughout the area. There are two major roads that go through New Monmouth, Cherry Tree Farm Road / Leonardville Road and Monmouth Road.

This is an established area of Middletown. Most of the homes are older, being built in the 1950’s and the 1960’s. Newer construction is rare. Homes are mostly in the starter price range going up into the $700,000 range

Students from New Monmouth will attend public schools in the Middletown school district. There are 17 schools in district.

 

An option for high school students would be to attend one of the five magnet schools in the Monmouth County Vocational School District. These full time schools offer programs in Bio Technology, Marine Science & Technology and other fields. Part time courses are also offered. Some of the available course offerings are various construction trades and Cosmetology.

 

There are numerous private schools in the area, such as Red Bank Catholic, Ranney School, Christian Brothers Academy and Oak Hill Academy to name a few.
