Deal is adjacent to the towns of Allenhurst, Long Branch and Ocean Township, in Monmouth County.
A major feature in Deal is Deal Lake, which covers Deal Lake covers 158 acres and is overseen by the Deal Lake Commission. Seven municipalities border the lake, which has 27 miles of shoreline. Those towns are Allenhurst, Asbury Park, Interlaken, Loch Arbour, Neptune Township and Ocean Township.
The 2010 Census reported that there were 750 people, 333 households, and 182 families residing in the borough. Also, the median family income was $95,833. With Deal being reported as one of the most expensive towns in the country to purchase real estate, one must conclude that many homes are second homes, where the owner does not permanently live in Deal.
Deal has it’s own school system for students in kindergarten through eight grade. The student population is less than 200.
When a student enters high school, that student will go to Shore Regional High School.
Students also have the option of attending the Monmouth County Vocational School District.
